Brighton ~ Patricia A. Lapp, age 84, formerly of LeRoy, passed away at home on Wednesday evening, July 19, 2017.
She was born June 23, 1933 in Batavia, a daughter of the late John and Mary Ashley Kelty.
Pat was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime elementary music teacher at LeRoy Central School and a very active member of Our Lady of Mercy Parish. She was an avid gardener and also enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting and baking. She, along with her husband, Paul, also enjoyed working part-time at the Genesee Country Museum.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Paul; her children, Peg (Dave) Halligan of Pittsford and John (Linda) Lapp of Virginia; her grandchildren, Katie (Tyler) Jeffords, Ryan Lapp and Kevin Lapp; great-granddaughters, Emersyn and Elle Jeffords; sisters-in-law, RoseMarie Kelty and Virginia Curry, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her brother, John "Jack" Kelty and grandson, Danny Lapp.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 ~ 7 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Rd., LeRoy. Her Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake Street, LeRoy, with interment to follow in St. Francis Cemetery.
