LeRoy ~ Louis Russo, age 76, of Telephone Road, passed away September 14, 2017.
He was born February 10, 1941 in Batavia. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Rose Malone Russo, sister-in-law, Annie Russo and nephew, Davey Russo.
Louis will be remembered as the toughest guy in Western N.Y., in his time and forever. He once KNOCKED OUT a gorilla at a carnival many years ago. Although the toughest guy around and a hot temper, Louie had the Biggest Kindness Heart and was loved by many. He was a hardworking and dedicated man, who retired from Lapp Insulator after 43 years of service.
He is survived by his son, Louis M. Russo of LeRoy; granddaughter, Ashley M. Russo of LeRoy; brother, Salvatore "Babe" Russo of LeRoy; sister, Lena (Douglas) Wood of LeRoy, along with his nieces and nephews, Dougie, Robbie, Lisa and Joey.
There will be no calling hours and services will be at the convenience of his family. For his love of The Horses and OTB in which he did every day of his life, if you feel the need to pay your respects, please take a trip to your local OTB and place a bet in memory of Louie Russo (AKA Finger Lakes Louie) .
