Caledonia ~ Richard "Hulio" Vangalio, age 63, of Ida's Lane, passed away Sunday afternoon (October 5, 2014) at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 21, 1951 in Batavia, N.Y., a son of the late Samuel and Florence Embroli Vangalio. Richard will be remembered for his love of family and friends. He was known for his sense of humor and easy going demeanor. He was a proud veteran, having served with the US AirForce. His love of carpentry and personal craftsmanship, eventually led him to establish his own business, Van-Gal Inc. He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Theresa Miller Vangalio, his children; Peter Vangalio of LeRoy, Heather (Ryan) O'Reilly of Caledonia and Richard (Renee) Vangalio of Churchville; his grandchildren, Kaden Vangalio, Madeline O'Reilly, Teagan O'Reilly and Ryker Vangalio; his sister-in-law, Deborah (Lee) Rogers of Moravia, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Wickson. Family and friends may call on Friday from 4 ~ 8 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Americas Church, 864 East Main St., Rochester, with entombment to follow at Ascension Garden Mausoleum. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Stray Animal Fund, York Animal Hospital, 2275 Main St., York, N.Y. 14592.
