E. Bethany ~ Evelyn I. Nichols, age 88, of Ellicott St. Rd., passed away at home Wednesday morning, January 14, 2014. Mrs. Nichols was born June 25, 1926 in Perry, a daughter of the late Harold and Eva Snider Phillips. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and sister, who was very devoted to her family. She enjoyed playing cards and dining out. She is survived by her children, Sandra Filio of LeRoy and Daniel (Shelly) Nichols of E. Bethany, grandson, Bryan Hargrave of Wyoming, a great-grandson, Daniel Nichols III, her sister, Joyce Herold of Pavilion, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald "Whitey" Nichols and her grandson, Daniel Nichols II. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4 ~ 8 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Rd. (Rt. 19), LeRoy, where her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. Interment in East Bethany Rural Cemetery will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesee Cancer Assistance.
