LeRoy ~ James F. Murphy Jr., age 87, of W. Bergen Road, joined his valentine and loving wife, Adelaide on Friday, Feb. 13th. Jim was born in Syracuse, N.Y. to James and Marguerite Roache Murphy Sr. His love for his family as a husband, dad and grandfather was of true devotion. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Our Lady of Mercy Parish. He had a successful career as a bank manager for Security Trust Co, The Bank of LeRoy and the Bank of Castile. He is survived by his children, Mike (Rhonda) of Batavia, Jim (Cheri) of Fairport, Tom, Mary Ann Wortman, Pat Murphy and Dan (Liz) all of LeRoy; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Gloria Anson, daughters-in-law Lisa Maxwell, Barb Murphy, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 yrs, Adelaide Anson Murphy in 2011, his son-in-law, Robert Wortman and great-grandson, Aiden. Calling hours Wednesday 4 ~ 7 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Rd. (Rt. 19), LeRoy. His Rite of Christian Burial, with military honors; will be Thursday 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake Street. Interment in St. Francis Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
