LeRoy ~ Kenneth R. "Kenny" Stein, age 55, of Oatka Trail, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly, while on his farm, on Friday, August 21, 2015. He was born September 26, 1959 in Rochester, a son of Jane Lumley Stein and the late Louis Stein. Kenny will be remembered as a very loving and compassionate man, who cherished his wife and family, and adored his grandchildren. He was truly dedicated to his faith and loved Jesus with all his heart. He had a strong work ethic and loved his work on the family farm. Kenny always had a smile and kind words for all. In addition to his mom and stepdad, Jane (Frank) Stein-Pierce, Kenny is survived by his best friend and love of his life, Kathleen Greenwood Stein; daughter, KellyRose (Ben) Nichols of LeRoy and son, Elijah Stein of LeRoy; grandchildren, Kenzie (named after her grandpa, Kenny) and Eliza Nichols; his brothers, Mark (Marge) Stein of GA and their children, Krista and Willie; Dale (Lily) Stein of LeRoy and their children, Nate and Casey; Ray (Shelley) Stein of LeRoy and their children, Tasha and Jerrod; John (Beth) Stein of GA and their children, Julia, Jillian and Bethany; along with many great-nieces, great-nephews and dear friends. Kenny was predeceased by his dad, Louis "Bud" Stein. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Service for Kenny on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at the Calvary Baptist Church, 8703 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Calvary Baptist Church.
