LeRoy ~ Hugh J. Torrance, age 86, of Wolcott Street, passed away Tuesday morning, September 1, 2015, at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. He was born January 1, 1929 in Ottawa, Canada, a son of the late Hugh and Sophia Saboriun Torrance. Mr. Torrance will be remembered as a very caring and loving family man, who was very proud of his service time in the U.S. Air Force. He will be sadly missed by his children; Hugh (Lita) Torrance of Las Vegas, Roberta Will of LeRoy, Donna (Dieter) Grambeck of LeRoy, Patricia (Thomas) Turner of Spencerport, Ronald (Lori) Torrance of Appleton, WS, Margaret (Michael) Martello of Rush, George (Anna) Torrance of Las Vegas and Thomas Torrance of Avon; his 13 grandchildren and his 5 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Frances and many siblings. Family and friends are invited to attend his graveside service with military honors on Tuesday, September 8 at 11:00 A.M. at Riverside Cemetery, Rochester, N.Y. As you enter the cemetery, the services will be held in the Chapel of the Mausoleum to the right. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the "Sunshine Fund" c/o LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home, 10 Munson Street, LeRoy, N.Y. 14482. I am your child. Wherever you go, you take me too. Whatever I know, I learn from you. Whatever I do, you taught me to do. I am your child. And I am your chance. Whatever will come, will come from me. Tomorrow is won, by winning me. Whatever I am, you taught me to be. I am your hope, I am your chance, I am your child.
