LeRoy ~ Genevieve M. Schuyler, age 93, of West Bergen Road, passed away Sunday afternoon (October 25, 2015) at United Memorial Medical Center. Mrs. Schuyler was born May 4, 1922 in Shunk, PA, a daughter of the late Boyd and Hattie Olds May. She will be remembered as the kind and loving person, who could "do it all". Aside from her love of gardening and managing the family farm - Schuyler Poultry Farm, she always had time to do things for others. She had a passion for quilting and donated quilts to various organizations that they could sell or raffle for fundraisers. She also quilted walker bags that could be attached to people's walkers. She worked many years as a bus driver for the school districts of LeRoy and Byron-Bergen and also as a toll collector on the NYS Thruway. She was also a longtime member of the LeRoy First Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Diana (James Flint) Lapp, Denise (Shihab) Ghaya, David (Debra) Schuyler and Randy Boyd Schuyler, all of LeRoy; sisters, Verna Jaquith of Ithaca, Helen (Russell) Hotelling of Ithaca and Irma Haynes of Williamsport, PA; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a very devoted family friend, Sharon McBurney. She was predeceased by her husband, Wesley Schuyler in 2000 and her siblings, Hilma Blow, Bernard, Donald, Elwyn and Vern May. Family and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church, 5 East Main Street, LeRoy.
