Bergen ~ Daisy E. Freeman, age 99, formerly of Peachey Road, passed away Saturday morning (March 29, 2014) at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. Mrs. Freeman was born March 12, 1915 in Pavilion, a daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret Dickens Gleber. Her love of family and her faith in the Lord was always evident. She was passionate about providing a loving home for her seven children, as well as, donating her time to her church community. She is survived by her children; Thomas Freeman of Ocala, FL, Judy Acker of Byron, William (Jeanne) Freeman of Byron, James (Jacklin) Freeman of Bergen, Karen (Thomas) Copeland of Byron and Jeffrey (Bridget) Freeman of Eustis, FL; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Darrell Freeman Sr., a son, Darrell Freeman Jr., a son-in-law, Al Acker and her 6 siblings. Mrs. Freeman's family wish to extend their appreciation to the staff of the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home for their kindness and attention to their mom's care; and also a special thank you to her church family, for their loving support and prayers that they have offered to mom and her family. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 ~ 6 P.M. at the Bergen United Methodist Church, 27 South Lake St., Bergen, where her funeral service will be held at 6 P.M. Interment will be in the Byron Cemetery at the convenience of the family. The courtesy of no flowers is requested with memorials suggested to the Bergen United Methodist Church.
