Obituary of Lorrie J. Mowry

LeRoy ~ Lorrie J. Mowry, age 65, of Linwood Road, passed away Saturday morning (January 25, 2025) at Highland Hospital in Rochester surrounded by her loving family.
She was born November 21, 1959 in Batavia, a daughter of the late George and Arlene Brandes Hall.
Lorrie will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend, who would put everyone else before herself. Her children and grandchildren were her life. She never missed an opportunity to support them in all their endeavours, sports and school events. Lorrie worked for 26 years as a medical secretary, 22 of those for Dr. Khan of Batavia, NY. She also worked part-time on the family farm. In 2012 she retired to dedicate her time to babysitting her grandchildren whom she adored. Lorrie also enjoyed baking and the occasional trip to the casino with family and friends.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of over 45 years, Lewis Mowry IV; her children, Melinda (Brandon) Zalewski, Michael Mowry (Michelle Rast) and Lindsay (Craig) Cox; her grandchildren, Chandler, Isabella, Dexter, Lewis, Maggie and Adelynn; her siblings, Deborah (late John) Neth, Cheryl (Robert) McGee, Stephen (Jane) Hall, Cindy Saeva (David Zarajczyk) and Donald (Mary) Hall; her in-laws, William (Ann) Mowry, Timothy (Kristan) Mowry and Elizabeth (Jake) Fletcher, along with many nieces, nephews and close friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend Lorrie’s Rite of Christian Burial to be held on Monday, February 3 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter’s Church, 44 Lake Street, LeRoy. A celebration of Lorrie’s life will immediately follow her mass at B.W.’s Restaurant, 11070 Perry Road, Pavilion, NY 14525
