Obituary of Filippa Antinoro

LeRoy ~ Filippa “Fina” (Costa) Antinoro, age 92, of Lake Street, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at United Memorial Medical Center.

     She was born February 11, 1933 in Cianciana, Sicily, Italy, a daughter of the late Elisabetta and Frank Costa.

     She joined her family in America in 1960.  She worked for Hickey Freeman of Rochester as a seamstress tailoring custom men’s suits.  A true talented perfectionist of sewing, needle pointing, knitting and crocheting, that she enjoyed so much.

     Most of all, she loved the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and family.

     She will always be remembered with her warm heart, gracefulness and never ending selflessness.  She will dearly be missed by all her family.

     She is survived by her children; Maria Antinoro “Sue” (Sam) DeFazio, Elisabetta Antinoro-OGee (Mark) and Antonino “Tony” Antinoro; grandchildren, Rob (Emily) DeFazio of Olean, Annemarie (Sean) Mulkeen of Ireland, Sam (Brighan) DeFazio of MI, Lisa (Curtis) Hampton of LeRoy, Dan OGee of CA, Kristin OGee of NC, Mark (Mayumi) OGee of LeRoy, Frank Antinoro of Fairport and Carly (Max) Antinoro of NC; 12 Great-Grandchildren; sisters, Rose (Frank) Ciliberto, Josephine (Roxy) Ferrara, Lee (Bruno) DeFazio; brothers, Paul Costa, Joe (Kathy) Costa, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

     In addition to her beloved husband, Francesco, she was predeceased by her father and mother, Frank & Elisabetta Costa; her granddaughter, Amanda Antinoro and godson, Paulie Costa.

     Family and friends may call on Thursday, March 13 from 4 ~ 7 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Rd. (Rt. 19).  Her Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 14 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake Street, LeRoy.
