John F. Innes III Obituary

Stafford ~ John F. Innes III, age 61, of Roanoke Road, passed away unexpectedly at home early Saturday morning, March 29, 2025.

He was born July 17, 1963 in Batavia, a son of Mary Wilcox Innes and the late John F. Innes Jr.

John will be remembered as a loving and dedicated son, husband, father, grandfather and brother, who loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed working on car engines, tractor pulling and cooking. He was also a very responsible gun enthusiast and often helped family and friends with the maintenance of their guns and ammunition. He will be sadly missed by his mother, Mary Innes; his loving wife of 40+ years, Shelly Cone Innes; children, Amanda (Michael) O’Toole and John (Caleigh) Innes IV; granddaughter, Alaina Innes; siblings, Christine (Chip) Smith, Mark (Carrie) Innes, Sarah (Jim) Francis and Brian (Kari-ann) Innes, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In addition to his father, John F. Innes Jr., he was predeceased by his nephew, Kenneth G. Smith III.
