Warsaw ~ Stephen N. Davis, age 82, of Merchant Road, originally from Pavilion, passed away at home Saturday morning, June 14, 2025.

     He was born March 21, 1943 in Batavia, a son of the late Stanley and Doris Barnard Davis.

     Steve was a 1961 graduate of Pavilion Central School.  He then went on to serve his country with the US Navy from 1961 to 1965.  Upon his return from service, Steve worked for LeRoy Machine Shop as a mechanic up until his retirement.  He loved to hunt, farm and drive around on his four-wheeler.  He was also a devoted fan of the NY Yankees and the Syracuse Orange basketball team.

     As his family and friends know, Steve was a man of few words, so when he spoke, you would listen.  He was a dreamer and loved when all the family and the kids were around. He taught his family lessons of hard work as well as play.  He would always try to help in any way he could.  Steve had a lot of beloved family and friends that will miss him.  As a family, we loved him and he will be missed; our memories of him will keep him alive in our hearts.

     Steve will be sadly missed by his sons; Robert (Marie) Davis of LeRoy, James Davis of Warsaw, William Casey Davis (Melissa Ryan) of LeRoy and Thomas Davis of Warsaw; grandchildren, Katheryne Davis (Choranay Hem) of Rochester, Corey Davis of Rochester, Kendelle Davis of Nunda, Mikhayla Williams of LeRoy, Drake Davis of Warsaw, London Davis of Nunda and Molly Ryan of LeRoy; great-grandson, Beau Davis of Pavilion; sister, Deborah (Harold) Seelman; sisters-in-law, Stella Davis and Sue Davis, along with many beloved step grand children, nieces and nephews.

     He was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Ellen Davis; his brothers, John Davis, Douglas Davis and David Davis; sister, Judith Alwardt; sister-in-law, Ida Davis and brother-in-law, Robert Alwardt.

     Steve’s family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday, June 25, from 4 ~ 7 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake St. Rd., LeRoy.  Interment at St. Francis Cemetery, LeRoy will be private at the convenience of the family.
