Carol Anne Wilson, age 62, passed away Sunday evening (June 29, 2025) at Buffalo General Medical Center in the loving presence of her family.

     She was born in Buffalo, NY on December 10th, 1962. A daughter to the late John and Barbara Wilson.

     Carol was a loving mother, sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend. Carol enjoyed cooking, baking, crafting and spending time with family and friends. She loved tattoos and often said she didn't have enough of her own, even though at the last count she had 37 of them.

     Carol also had a love for motorcycles, especially Harley Davidson's. Anytime a Harley drove by, she could be heard yelling to the driver, "Take me for a ride!"

Known to many as "Auntie Carol," it didn't matter if you were family or not, she loved you as one of her own. Her door was always open, her phone was always on and the coffee was always hot.

     Carol loved the holidays, Christmas being her favorite one of all. She was known for her beautifully decorated Christmas trees, and her homemade Christmas cookies--She always made sure everyone got a cookie tray.

     An avid lover of animals, music and a good movie. Carol was certainly one of a kind. She taught those around her how to laugh at the pain life threw your way and always made sure those she loved had what they needed, even if she went without.

     She is survived by her son, John Peterson; her dog, Maggie; sisters, Ann (Craig) Mortimer and Barb (James) Inges; nieces, Emily ( Gary) Mankes, Melissa (Jeff) Starowitz, Tiffany ( Nathan) Bernard, Helen (Frank) Ozimek and many great nieces and nephews.

     Carol will be missed by all.

     A Celebration of Carol's Life will be held on Thursday, July 3 at 11:00 AM at Northgate Free Methodist Church, 8160 Bank St. Rd., Batavia, with a reception to follow.
