Batavia ~ Harold E. Sherman Jr., age 95, of Richmond Avenue, passed away early Wednesday evening (July 2, 2025) at Strong Memorial Hospital.
He was born on April 22, 1930 in Batavia, a son of the late Harold and Dorothy (Ridley) Sherman.
Harold served his country honorably with the US Army and was a long-time employee of Lapp Insulator in LeRoy before his retirement.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 75 years, Stella Musshafen Sherman; his daughter, Cheryl (Dan) Maxwell; grandchildren, Adam (Jayme) Maxwell, Rachel Maxwell, Aaron (Jen) Sherman and Thor (Natalie) Sherman; great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Sandra Sherman and Joan Musshafen; brother-in-law, Don Musshafen, along with many nieces and nephews.
Harold was predeceased by his son, David J. Sherman; his brother, Gerald Sherman Sr.; daughter-in-law, Joan R. Sherman and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
Harold will be laid to rest privately at Machpelah Cemetery in LeRoy.
