I will be forever grateful for the piano lessons Mrs. Haskins gave me. I have been playing now for 60 years and have used that gift at several churches through the years. The school bus would drop me off at their house and after the lessons, Valerie and I would play and roam around on the farm. Dad would pick Monica and I up on his way home from work. Still think of those days passing the old farmstead. Hugs to you all!

So sorry to hear of Hilda’s passing. I knew her from the Manor House in Batavia. She loved any dog that she saw and enjoyed a good music program. Gail and Dave so sorry. My sympathy to the whole family.

We loved Hilda's spunky attitude and are thankful that we were able to share wonderful summer afternoons in her backyard gazebo. Her beautiful flower garden and her little dog were such a delight to her. We will miss her but know she is in the presence of her Heavenly Father and Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our prayers are with Hilda's friends and family that she leaves behind. Pat and Liese Lynch

I had the pleasure of knowing Hilda as well and Valerie. I am sorry for the grief following her passing to all her family and friends. Hilda was a character I really enjoyed the time I got to spend with her, she shared her love of gardening with me and gave me several of her Hostas and I think of her every year they return! She had a true fight for life and a great sense of humor. Again my condolences and empathy for the family and friends who will miss her. Becky Iannello, LMT

I met Hilda at the Manor House. I was one of the receptionists there. I enjoyed many conversations with Hilda. She talked about her love of animals and especially horses. Please accept my deepest condolences to the family. May God bring you peace and comfort in this difficult time. Karen Westerman

Your Mom was taking a cake decorating class south of Houghton. On her way home she would stop by the college and give Valerie and me the freshly decorated cake. Another funny memory… I was at your home in Castile and your parents water bed had a leak!!Water everywhere!!Love to you. Darcie
