LeRoy ~ Grace Marie McBurney, age 94, formerly of Cole Road, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at the Orchard Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Medina.

     She was born November 13, 1930 in LeRoy, the only child of Charles and Teresa Bartalo Gelsomino.

     Grace will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

     She is survived by her children, Nancy (Jerry) Roth, Joan (Bill Bennett) McBurney and Patrick (Susan) McBurney; two grandchildren, Marc (Kimberly) Roth and Teresa Sanfilippo; five great-grandchildren, Madison, Abigail, Louie, Gabriella and Emerlleigh, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends, especially her godchild, Patty Madau.

     In addition to her parents, Grace was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Donald McBurney in 2020.

     Grace was the last of the “original” gang of eight; Rachel K., Rosemary W., Gretchen K., Mary Alice R., Eileen T., June K., and Mary C.

     Family and friends are invited to her Rite of Christian Burial to be held on Wednesday, September 10 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake Street, LeRoy. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery.
