Geraldine Irene Goldberg

August 14, 1933 – September 5, 2025

Geraldine Irene Goldberg, 92, of LeRoy, NY, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, after a short illness.

     Growing up on a farm, Geraldine learned early the values of hard work, resilience, and quiet perseverance.  Bright and determined, she completed high school in just three years, graduating as valedictorian – a reflection of her sharp mind, dedication, and love of learning.

     Geraldine became the matriarch of her family – the steady center who held everyone together.  Her wisdom, quiet strength and positive outlook guided and comforted those she loved.  Family was her greatest joy, and she was happiest when surrounded by them, sharing stories, laughter, and meals that brought generations together.  A lifelong learner, she was also an accomplished gardener, a talented seamstress and avid reader.

     Her life was a testament to strength, grace and humor.  She leaves behind her husband of 72 years, Charles, along with her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends who adored her.

     She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

     The family will gather privately to honor Geraldine’s life.

     In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Geraldine’s memory to St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 5015 Lakeville Road, Geneseo, N.Y. 14454 or your local Animal Shelter.
