Richard A. Brown Obituary

LeRoy ~ Richard A. Brown, age 85, passed away Wednesday morning (October 22, 2025) at Crossroads House in Batavia.


     He was born January 7, 1940 in Bergen, a son of the late Walter and Jane Hoyt Brown Sr.


     Dick will be remembered for his love of dirt track racing, as he was a two-time track champion at Perry Speedway.  As much as Dick loved racing, it was the many friends he made along the way that he cherished the most.  Dick was also a longtime machinist, having worked for Taylor Instruments and Morgood Tools.


     He is survived by his son, Dan Brown; daughter, Jacquie Brown; granddaughters, Jenna (Jesse Qutermous), Hayley, Danielle and Angel; great-grandson, Tanner; brothers, Walt (late Linda) Brown, Ron (Barb) Brown, Doug (late Sheryl) Brown, Larry Brown and Bob (Kathryn) Brown, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.


     In addition to his parents, Dick was predeceased by his daughter, Cindy Brown.


     A Celebration of Dick’s Life will be held at a later date.
