LeRoy ~ Elizabeth “Betty” Grice, age 95, of Poplar Lane, passed away on Sunday (November 2, 2025) at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home.

     She was born January 20, 1930 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Carl and Ethel Rider Lapp.

     Betty will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend to many.  Her Catholic faith and her church were very important to her.  She enjoyed travelling, especially on her annual trips to Niagara-on-the-Lake and Alexandria Bay, baking and shopping trips with her daughters and sister.  Betty was also a long time Buffalo Bills fan and has held season tickets for over 35 years.

     Betty is survived by her daughters, Anne Gray of Rochester and Patricia (Edward) Chempiel of San Antonio, TX; grandsons, Brad Gray and Patrick Gray; her special mall friends, Carolyn, Marie and (the late) Lorraine; lifelong friend, Barbara Brown, along with many nieces and nephews. 

     She was predeceased by her husband, Bradford Grice, son-in-law, Brad Gray and sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Harry Peltzer.

     The family would like to extend their appreciation to Cindy Saeva’s Senior Living Home for their loving care of Betty during her stay there.

     Family and friends may call on Friday, Nov. 7 from 11:30 AM ~ 12:30 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road.  Her Rite of Christian Burial will be held right after calling at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter’s Church, 44 Lake Street, LeRoy.
