Pavilion ~ Linda C. Starkey, age 85, entered into her eternal home with her Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

     She was born July 23, 1940 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Roland and Eleanor Zimmer Starkey.

     Linda will be remembered as a true friend to many and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Pavilion, where she also served the church school as a dedicated teacher for almost 20 years.  Prior to teaching, Linda was a caring and compassionate nurse at a hospital in New Jersey for 20 years as well.  Her love of animals was evident through her support of various animal organizations. 

     She is survived by her dear friend, Pat Wolcott; sister-in-law, Judy Starkey; nieces, Donna (Brian) Gerard, Suzanne (Don) Castongua and Kate Smith; nephew, Thomas (Sharon) Starkey; grandnieces, Jordan Starkey and Grace Gerard; grandnephews, Martin Castongua, Alan Castongua, Jack Starkey and James Gerard, along with many other dear friends.

     In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Thomas J. Starkey; sister, Betty Smith and dear friend, Onalee Duthe.

     A special note of appreciation to the staff at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home for their wonderful care of Linda during her stay.

     A memorial service for Linda is being planned for the Spring of 2026.

     Contributions in memory of Linda are suggested to either the First Baptist Church of Pavilion or any organization supporting animal welfare.
