Mary Ellen Wright, age 91, of LeRoy, passed away on Saturday November 29, 2025 at the Village Green Nursing Home in LeRoy.

     She was born on January 18, 1934 in LeRoy, New York to the late John and Martha (Ladd) Crowley.

     Mary Ellen was employed at The Bank of LeRoy for many years where she met her future husband, the late Donald E. Wright. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mercy Parish. A devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, her greatest joy was her family.

     In addition to her parents, Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Wright Sr.; son, Michael J. Wright; son-in-law, Robert Legzdin and her sister, Ann Bauman.

     Mary Ellen is survived by her children; Ann M. Legzdin, Kathleen A. Wright, Donald E. (Nancy) Wright Jr., Nancy J. Wright, Daniel J. Wright, Mary Katherine Wright, daughter-in-law, Helaine Wright; grandchildren, Melissa (Chad) Schalk, Crystal Wright, Beth Burger (John Steward), Daniel (Jamie) Nichols, Jennifer (Brian) Kessler, Jordan (Matt) VanAllen, Abby Wright, Conner Wright, Kylea Wright; eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

     Family and friends may call at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road, LeRoy on Monday, December 8th, from 3 ~ 7 PM. Her Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th at 11 AM. Private family interment will immediately follow at St. Francis Cemetery in LeRoy.
