LeRoy ~ Verna R. Bennett, age 66, of Gilbert Street, passed away unexpectedly at home early Wednesday morning, January 21, 2026.

     She was born July 6, 1959, a daughter of the late Clifford and Doris Schneckenburger.

     Verna will be remembered as a very loving, caring and loyal mother, sister and dear friend to many.  She was always very reliable and available to family and friends that needed a helping hand.  She enjoyed playing cards, attending go-cart races and the many pizza picnics with family and friends.

     She will be sadly missed by her sons, Shawn Bennett and David (Olga) Lane; her siblings, Lois Boyle, Wesley (Lydia) Schneckenburger, Stanley (Mary) Schneckenburger and Paul Schneckenburger, along with nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her parents, Verna was predeceased by her companion, Stephen Meiser and her brother-in-law, David Boyle.

     Family and friends may call on Monday, January 26 from 4 ~ 5 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake St. Rd., LeRoy, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:00 PM.
