Batavia – Brenda M. Wetzel, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Premier Genesee Center in Batavia.

     She was born November 5, 1960 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Richard and Emma Legg Wetzel.

     Brenda will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt and dear friend to many.  She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, playing cards and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.  She was forever supporting her NY Yankees and Buffalo Bills.

     Brenda is survived by her sisters, Dora (David) Henry and Diana (Jim) Jakubonis; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, several cousins and dear friends at Premier Genesee.

     In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Edward Gardner and her sister, Carrie Ann Booth.

     Family and friends may call on Saturday, February 7th, 2026 from 10 ~ 11:30 AM at the Blessed Hope Baptist Church, 3515 Galloway Road, Batavia, NY, where her Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 AM.  Interment will be at the Stafford Rural Cemetery at a future date.
