Roger B. Higley Obituary
Roger Higley, 81, passed away peacefully at home on March 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with Lewy body dementia.
Roger was born on October 5, 1944, to Robert Higley and Ruth (Harloff) Higley Starr Weber. He was a member of the Covington United Presbyterian Church.
A lifelong resident of Pavilion, Roger was known for his mechanical curiosity and remarkable ability to fix just about anything. He began working at a young age in the family business, Higley Welding. He later worked at Stisser Hardware before joining Noble Farm Service. Ultimately, he founded Higley Heating, Electric and Refrigeration, which he owned and operated for over 37 years, proudly serving families and businesses throughout the region.
While he thrived on the challenges and demands of his work, Roger found happiness in life's simple pleasures: a good burger, fresh donuts, ice cream, fireworks, and camping trips. Above all he treasured time spent with family and his grandchildren who brought him endless joy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Patricia (Dibble) Higley; his children, Cheri Higley, Lori (Todd) Jessop, Craig (Kimberly) Higley; grandchildren, Ian, Nolan (Trista), Emma, John and Maya; siblings, Beverly Hess, Barbara Barber, Richard (Sandy) Higley; sisters-in-law, Donna Higley, Dorothy (Edward) Russell, Linda (Howard) Sinclair; brother-in-law, Herbert Tillotson, along with many beloved members of his extended family.
In death, he is reunited with numerous loved ones including his parents; his brother Myron Higley; his in-laws C. Thomas Dibble and Marguerite Dibble; and his sister-in-law Doris Tillotson.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Roger will be laid to rest in Olivet Cemetery in Pavilion.
