Virginia M. Rigoni Obituary

Pavilion – Virginia M. Rigoni, 97, of Roanoke Road passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Arbor Trail Rehabilitation Center in Florida.

Virginia was born on May 5, 1928, in Batavia, a daughter of the late Walter and Bernice Norton Brewer.  Ginny married Alfred P. Rigoni on February 18, 1950, and enjoyed 65 years together until his passing on October 30, 2015.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and sister, who was truly devoted to her family.  She will be remembered for her selflessness and love for her family.  Besides raising her children and working on the family farm, Ginny spent many years growing a vegetable garden to feed the family along with canning fresh fruit.  But her passion was working in her gorgeous flower gardens for everyone to enjoy!  She also volunteered her time at the Board of Elections, was the Pavilion Town Historian for many years, was the Treasurer for the Stafford Historical Society, arranged the entertainment for the Pavilion Senior group and worked many years in the Pavilion Central School cafeteria.

She is survived by her children, Allan Rigoni of Ohio, Gary (Renee) Rigoni of Rochester, Steven (Susan) Rigoni of Pavilion, Jane (Robert) Cummings of Rochester, Pamela (Donald) Miller of Florida and Paula (Frank) Miller of LeRoy; her 16 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was pre-deceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter Brewer, Ronald (Dolores) Brewer and Donald (Pearl) Brewer; her daughter-in-law Diane Rigoni and her grandson, Matthew Norstrand.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Pavilion on Saturday, April 11th at 10:00 a.m., followed by her internment at St. Francis Cemetery in LeRoy.  A celebration of life will follow at BWs Restaurant in Pavilion starting at 12:00 noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pavilion Fire Department or in the form of a mass offering.
