Stafford ~ Robert J. Duyssen, age 84, of Westcott Road, passed away on Saturday (March 21, 2026) at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, surrounded by his loving family.

     He was born June 12, 1941 in Batavia, a son of the late Herbert and Josephine Liebeck Duyssen.

     Bob will be remembered as a dedicated and hardworking, lifetime farmer, who took great pride in his farm and the animals that he raised.  He was most always accompanied by one of his canine partners, whether it was working around the barns or “on patrol” checking the fields and fence lines.  Although work was a priority for Bob, he never passed up an opportunity to have fun.  Family was also very important.  He enjoyed the family vacations, parties and a good euchre game.

     He will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife of almost 61 years, Elizabeth Ann Pickell Duyssen; his sons, James Duyssen, John Duyssen and Daniel (Suzanne) Duyssen; his sister, Ann Nesbitt, along with his loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

     The family would like to acknowledge and thank Bob’s caregivers, Howard and Heather, for their loving care and commitment.

     Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Bob’s Life to be held on Friday, March 27 starting at 12:00 PM at the Stafford Fire Department.

     A funeral service for Bob will be held privately at the convenience of his family.
