LeRoy ~ Rexford J. “Rex” Miller, age 92, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

     He was born May 14, 1933 in Batavia, a son of the late Marion McCowan Criger.

     Rex will be remembered as a very caring and devoted family man, who enjoyed being with family, friends and supporting his community.  He was a proud US Army Korean Era veteran, a long time member and past trustee of the LeRoy United Methodist Church, a member of the Botts Fiorito Post #576 for 70 years and the Oatka Fish & Game Club.  Rex also enjoyed participating in league bowling and was very proud that he was able to accomplish a 300 game.

     From 1948 – 1986, Rex worked as a dairy route salesman for the “LeRoy” Elm Dairy and Upstate Milk Co-Op.  He went on from there to work for the US Post Office until his retirement in 1998. Even in retirement, he was active volunteering with the local food pantry and assisting with class reunions.

     Rex will be sadly missed by his sons, Douglas (Geralyn) Miller of Virginia and James (Suzanne) Miller of Macedon; grandchildren, Sean Miller, Lauren Miller, Andrew (Lauren) Miller and Danielle Miller; great-granddaughter, Olivia Miller; his brother, David (Darlene) Miller of Avon, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

     In addition to his mother and step-father, Marion and Edward Criger, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Ann; sister, Elizabeth Ann Shepherd and step-sisters, Jane Gillette, Carol Crnkovich and Mary Lois Caruthers.

     Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, April 8 from 4 ~ 7 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake St. Rd., LeRoy, where his funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 9 at 10:30 AM.  Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery.
