LeRoy - Carol Konarski, age 88 of 1 West Avenue, passed away peacefully at the LeRoy Village Greens on Wednesday morning (June 3rd, 2026)

     She was born February 8, 1938 in Caledonia, New York. The daughter of the late Homer Papke and Gladys Agnew.

     Carol was a loving woman who worked for many years as a bus aide for LeRoy Central School and prior to that, she was LeRoy’s “Avon Lady”. She loved to socialize with friends and family, baking, crafting, playing board games and Euchre.  She was a member of Living Waters Church and helped at the Hope Center in the Village of LeRoy.

     She is survived by her son, David (Jane) Konarski of Lakeville and daughter, Lori Hawkins of Stafford; sisters, Lisa Papke-Cassidy and Elaine Worthington; grandchildren, James (Elaina) Konarski, Richard Konarski (Christina Benedict), William Konarski, Jennifer Saltsman (Jay Draper), John (Cheryl) Burrs, Shawna (Nate) Merritt and Nick Hawkins; 16 Great-Grandchildren; 5 Great-Great Grandchildren, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

     She was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, John “Jack” Konarski; sister, Karolyn McCumiskey and grandsons, Michael Burrs and Christopher VanBuskirk.

     Family and friends may call on Sunday June 7 from 4 ~ 8 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy. Her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday June 8 at 11 AM at the Living Waters Church, 30 Main Street, LeRoy.

     Memorial contributions are suggested to either Living Waters Church or American Heart Association.
