Obituary of Albert K. Monagan Jr.

Kendall ~ Albert K. Monagan Jr., age 71, formerly of LeRoy, passed away November 20, 2023 at Strong Memorial Hospital, after losing the race to cancer.

     He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beverly (Hastreiter) Monagan and 3 children; Jerrad

(Elizabeth) Monagan, Courtney Kane and Jonathan Monagan; his mother, Betty Monagan of

Elba/Batavia and his brother, Gary (Dixie) Monagan.  He was Grandpa Al and Papa to Jacob

West, Noah Monagan, Sean Kane, Catherine Monagan, Tara Monagan, David Kane, and

Cameron Monagan, along with many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his father,

Albert K. Monagan.

     Al attended Elba High School and Morrisville University.  He retired from Kodak after 35

years, then continued to work at Carestream Health, Coca-Cola/Atlanta and Lowes of Brockport.

He was an active member of the LeRoy First Baptist Church.  He was very active with the

LeRoy Boy Scout Troop 23 for over 10 years.

     He enjoyed sharing his hobbies with people he loved such as fishing, hunting, running

marathons, as well as working on and showcasing his classic 1941 Chevy Deluxe.

     Family and friends may call on Saturday, December 2 from 11 AM ~ 1 PM at the Falcone

Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake St. Rd., LeRoy, where his memorial

service will be held at 1:00 PM.

     In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
