Obituary of Karen E. Parks

LeRoy ~ Karen E. Parks, age 72, of North Road, passed away early Monday morning (April 12, 2021) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

     She was born August 6, 1948 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Harley and Ann Cooper Ingalls.

     Karen was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend, who cherished time spent with her family, especially “her babies” – grandchildren.  She enjoyed travelling to Kentucky to visit family, doing puzzles, crocheting and rooting for the NY Yankees.

     She is survived by her daughters, Sandy Parks (Chris James) and Stephanie Parks; grandchildren, Jeffrey James and Bethani James; sister, Alice Ingalls; in-laws, Franklin Parks (Karen Faulds), Jean (Roger) DeVinney, June Elliott and Dorothy Parks, along with many nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alfred L. Parks (2018) and in-laws, Stanley Parks, Keith Parks, Karen Parks and Russell Elliott.

     Family and friends may call on Friday, April 16 from 3 - 5 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road, LeRoy, where her Service of Remembrance will be held at 5:00 PM. (Funeral home capacity is limited to 50% and face masks are required) 

     In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to either the Boy Scouts of America (https://donations.scouting.org/  or the Wounded Warriors (www.AmericanWarriorFestival.com)
