LeRoy ~ Edward T. Cain, age 91, formerly of Stafford, passed away Wednesday morning (Sept. 17, 2014) at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia. Mr. Cain was born September 16, 1923 in Warsaw, a son of the late Thomas and Grace Fisher Cain. He was a long time insurance salesman throughout the area after serving with the US Army. He eventually became the Civil Defense Director for Genesee County and was the Genesee County Republican Committee Chairman from 1967 - 1983. He is survived by his step-sons; Gary (Sue) Culbertson of Richfield Springs, NY and Gordy Culbertson of Stafford, step-grandchildren; Dawn Culbertson, Lisa Culbertson, Charles Culbertson, Rebecca Forbes, Erin (James) Hall and Christian (Amy) Culbertson, 9 step-great-grandchildren, a niece, Susan Copeland of TX and a great nephew. He was predeceased by his wife, Ethel Cain on March 26, 2014 and a sister, Imogene Pais. Family and friends may call on Tuesday, Sept. 23, from 11:30 AM ~ 1:30 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy where services will be held at 1:30. Interment with military honors will follow in Morganville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the United Memorial Medical Center Foundation, 127 North Street, Batavia, NY 14020.
