Obituary of Donna M. Douglass

LeRoy ~ Donna M. Douglass, age 63, of Randall Road, passed away Wednesday evening (December 6, 2023) at Highland Hospital in Rochester, in the loving presence of her family.

     She was born June 14, 1960 in Rochester, a daughter of the late Gaylord and Beatrice Warren Gardner.

     Donna will be remembered as a very loving and caring person, who always put everyone else ahead of her own needs.  She loved to read and was very active with the Batavia City Church, where attending women’s Christian retreats was her most favorite thing to do.  For the last 24 years, Donna had worked at the U of R, where she began as a secretary in the pharmaceutical department and worked her way up to becoming an administrative assistant in the Office of Environmental Health and Safety.

     She will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted husband of 43 years, Steven J. Douglass; her son, John S. Douglass (Missy Zeches); grandsons, Michael and Teddy; siblings, Diane Sorce (John McColl), Stephen (Michelle) Gardner, Judy (Ted) Flock, Claudia (Danny) Webb, Wayne Gardner (Susan Colture) and Patricia (Ted) McDuffie; her feline companion, Ozzie, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

     Family and friends may call on Saturday, December 16 from 1 ~ 4 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake St. Rd., LeRoy, where her Service of Remembrance will be held at 4:00 PM.
