RIP Dave, it was truly my honor to have gotten to know both Dave and you, Patty. You two had something very special and were a fine example to young couples these days. I was the lucky one able to care for Dave. He was a jem. Everyone on the 5th floor loved him. God be with you in this very difficult time. Love, Kristie Lyons

Here's another good picture of Dave with the Gary Sanders band. I think this was at Moe's out back in Fairport on a Saturday night.

Tim, Matt, Mike and I from High Noon met Dave when we responded to an ad in Freetime magazine. The ad said, "Bass player. Looking for a band. All types of music. I have shitty equipment, I hate learning songs, and I am always late" We knew this was the guy for us. Through High Noon and Papa Nut Dave put up with us and the late Ric Smith. He also spent time on the road with Rebecca with Chris Beard and other local musicians such as Gary Sanders. Dave always carried a steady beat and the biggest, heaviest equipment he could find. Dave, you were a cool cat and helped make us the musicians we are today. We are indebted to you and will never forget you. Our deepest condolences to Dave's family and friends. Rebecca Garcia, Tim Carney.

I played in the band Kaleidoscope with Dave a number of years ago. Great musician, really good guy. Very sorry to hear of his passing.

Patty - Jon and I send our condolences to you and want to tell you that you are an angel and Dave was very fortunate to have you in his life.
Dave - Jon and I only have happy memories of you. You were always positive, happy and always smiling. You were kind to everyone. You were a true musician and always took the gig seriously no matter where it was or how bad it was .You were Jon's brother on the road and the experience of playing with you in Swiftkick, traveling to Japan, slugging it out night after night after night at the 4th Street Junction in Long Beach, CA under the watchful eye of Ollie, playing gigs in Hollywood, is at the forefront of his musical memories. Seeing you drive that blue bread truck (with the glove compartment loaded with parking tickets), being room mates in Long Beach is something Jon will never forget. And who can forget when you said "It only takes one Jonny". Meaning one hit song. The dream was strong.
Murphy was probably waiting for you on the other side. Thank you for all the great memories. Rest in peace Dave and God Bless you.
