I am so sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. I first met Jerry many years ago through my Mom, Angie Darrow. They were on the LeRoy 1950 class reunion committee together. Jerry was a very longtime and loyal friend to my mother up until her passing. He would call me periodically after that time to see how I was doing. I was blessed to have known him. I remember George as a vibrant man.I was fortunate enough to coach his sons,Steve and Don,in wrestling as well as having his daughter,Lorrie,in my Sixth Grade Class.A man's children are a true reflection of him.George's children were a tribute to their Father.He was a true gentleman of outstanding character.I was blessed to have him and his family in my life. “BOOTS” that is how i referred to Gerry. He was a favorite customer of mine. From Scooters in batavia to Miss Batavia and then finally at Leroys no finer diner. We always had a good laugh over how he got his nickname. I will forever have him in my heart. Betsy
