James A. Thomas Obituary
Stafford ~ James A. Thomas, age 74, of Main Road, passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia.
He was born January 13, 1950 in Bath, N.Y., a son of the late Lee and Lucille Wing Thomas.
He married the love of his life, Ruth V. Cassidy, on December 11, 1971 in Pulteney, N.Y. and spent 46 years together before her passing in 2018.
James was a loving husband to his late wife, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved doing scrap runs and loved a good demolition derby; either watching one or running one.
He is survived by his children; Bonnie of Wellsburg, NY, Jimmy (Christine) Thomas of Stafford, NY, Daniel (Tammy) Thomas of Batavia, NY, Becky (Michael) Stephens of Cohocton, NY and John (Megan) Thomas of Pavilion, NY; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two grandchildren.
Burial and services will be private at the convenience of the family.
