LeRoy ~ Shirley A. Schutt was born February 5, 1951 and passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024 at the age of 73, with her loving family by her side.

In addition to her parents, Robert and Leah Jones Dempsey, Shirley was predeceased by her husband and love of her life, Clyde L. Schutt Jr.

Shirley was a loving and devoted mother, sister and aunt and will be sadly missed by her daughter, DeAnna L. Leach (Raymond Leach); her loving sisters, Sarah Elmore and Linda Brooks; loving niece, Leah Malone; step-daughters, Wendy Miller and Shelley (Rick) Scott, along with many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A LeRoy resident for most of her life, Shirley will be remembered as a very loving and caring person. She loved to do cross stitch needle work and loved to make baby blankets for baby showers for family and friends. She enjoyed crossword books and visits to the casino. She was also a longtime member of the Moose Club, where she had too many friends to mention by name.

Shirley will truly be missed by everyone she touched in one way or another.

At her request, there will be no prior calling hours or services. A private family graveside service will be held at their convenience.
