LeRoy / Batavia ~ Viola L. Roblee, age 94, formerly of Robbins Road, passed away Tuesday morning (Jan. 6, 2015) at Strong Memorial Hospital with her loving family at her side.
Mrs. Roblee was born April 19, 1920 in LeRoy, a daughter of the late Philip and Edna Clarke Schwingle.
She will be remembered as a very caring and loving mother and grandmother, as well as a dear friend to many. She loved showing her devotion to her family by attending all of her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's sporting events. She touched many people in her many years of employment in secretarial work with the New York State Police, the Union Steel Chest and the Genesee County Sheriff's Office. She was a past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of the LeRoy United Methodist Church and an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
Mrs. Roblee is survived by her daughters, Priscilla Nelson (Walt) of Durham, NC and Marcia McKenzie (Jerry Warren) of Pavilion; her grandsons, Michael (Michelle) McKenzie and Scott McKenzie; her great-grandchildren, Maxin, Maveric and Maicen McKenzie, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Leland Roblee and her sister, Eleanor Fugle.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, Jan.10 from 11 A.M. ~ 2 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Rd. (Rt. 19), where her funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Interment in Machpelah Cemetery will immediately follow her service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either the LeRoy United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
