Obituary of Michael J. Macaluso

LeRoy ~ Michael J. Macaluso, age 92, passed away Friday evening (Sept. 18, 2015) at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia.
Mr. Macaluso was born December 18, 1922 in LeRoy, a son of the late Charles and Carmella Lamendola Macaluso.
He will be remembered as a very loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a veteran of the US Army, and a member of the American Legion and Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Joseph's Church. He retired from Lapp Insulator Company with 45 years of service and was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Alice Paladino Macaluso; his children, James (Linda) Macaluso of LeRoy and Phyllis (Jon) Frantel of Canandaigua; grandchildren, Jimmy Macaluso, Anthony Macaluso, Cathy Frantel, Joe Frantel and Annie Frantel; sister-in-law, Lorraine Hoffmaster of Batavia, along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sons, Michael Macaluso Jr. and Samuel Macaluso in 2009, along with his eight siblings, Peter, James, Anthony, Ross, Samuel, Joseph, Agnes and Josephine.
Family and friends may call on Monday from 3 ~ 7 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19). His Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Joseph's Oratory, 27 Lake Street, LeRoy.
