Obituary of Rose M. Cordaro

LeRoy ~ Rose M. Cordaro, age 88, of Mill Street, passed away Tuesday morning (November 17, 2015) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Mrs. Cordaro was born March 5, 1927 in Buffalo, a daughter of the late John and Mary Pascuzzo Onorati. She will be remembered by her family as a loving mother and grandmother, who loved to be a homemaker. She took pride in her home's appearance and actually loved to clean house and work around outside in her lawn and flower gardens. She is survived by her children, Richard (Megan Ellinwood) Cordaro of Bergen, Samuel Cordaro of LeRoy and Susan Cordaro of Rochester; her siblings, John "Sonny" (Edith) Onorati Jr. of Rochester, Angie Sherman of Caledonia, Patricia Onorati of Greigsville, Barbara (Vito) Colline of Rochester and Francis "Muzzie" (Lois) Onorati of Leicester; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel L. Cordaro in 1997. There are no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, Nov. 20 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake Street, LeRoy. Interment in St. Francis Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Our Lady of Mercy Parish.
