Obituary of Sara L. O'Geen

LeRoy / Batavia ~ Our beloved Sara, age 91, formerly of Warsaw Road, was placed in the hands of God early Friday morning (February 22, 2013) at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. Miss O’Geen was born December 6, 1921 in LeRoy, a daughter of the late Frank and Carmella Zalacca O’Geen. Miss O’Geen was a retiree of Mancuso Motors in Batavia after 42 years of service as a payroll clerk. Sara was lovingly cared for by Cindy Saeva of Saeva’s South Street Senior Care for 3 ½ years. This past year she resided in the caring arms of all at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. Sara’s loving ways and beautiful smile will remain in our hearts forever. She is survived by her brother and sister in law, Francis (Chip) O’Geen of LeRoy, an aunt, Antonia Wertheimer of Philadelphia, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was also predeceased by her sisters and their husbands, Concetta O’Geen, Josephine (Eugene) Tomaszewski & Mary (Walter) Pietryzkowski Family and friends are invited to attend Miss O’Geen’s Funeral Mass on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 10:30 A.M. at Resurrection Parish (St. Mary’s Site), Ellicott St., Batavia. Interment will be private in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home Activity Fund, 10 Munson St., LeRoy, NY 14482.
