LeRoy / Pavilion ~ Bryan D. “Poo” Wright, age 53, of Telephone Road, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday morning (Jan. 1, 2013).
Mr. Wright was born November 19, 1959 in Rochester, a son of the late Thomas and Shirley Young Jackson.
He will be remembered as an all-around sports enthusiast, having a deep passion for baseball, bowling, golf and camping. His love of children and his desire to be a part of their “sports life” brought him to become a baseball umpire, which he did for 25+ years at all levels of the game. He was also a member of the Genesee Valley Umpires Association.
He is survived by his long-time companion, Sheree Panek of Pavilion, daughters, Crystal Wright of Rochester and Jennifer Wright of Pavilion, a son, Jonathan Wright of Pavilion, granddaughter, Reganae Wright; sisters, Susan (William) Taylor of N.C. and Charlene (James) Johnson of Batavia, a brother, Randy (Cathy) Wright of Batavia, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, John T. Wright.
There are no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Bryan’s Celebration of Life Service on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Second Baptist Church, 73 Myrtle Street, LeRoy. The family will receive friends at a reception at the American Legion on West Main Street after the service. Memorials may be made to his children.
