LeRoy ~ Catherine Rose Lapp, age 100, was welcomed home to the Lord on Thursday evening (June 2, 2016) at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. She was born October 11, 1915, the loving daughter of the late Karl and Rosalie (Ritzenthaler) Zimmermann. Mrs. Lapp was a lifelong resident of LeRoy and was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Parish since her birth. Mrs. Lapp was most proud of her family. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Diane Lapp; daughter-in-law, Priscilla Lapp and her son-in-law, John Wujcik; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and dear friend to those who knew her. She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence "Gooey" A. Lapp; her sons, Richard C. Lapp, Joseph C. Lapp and James F. Lapp and her daughter, Carole Lapp Wujcik; her brothers, Francis Zimmermann, Henry Zimmermann and Carl Zimmermann, and her grandson, Jason M. Wujcik. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 ~ 7 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, with interment to follow in St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Parish, 44 Lake Street, LeRoy, N.Y. 14482.
