LeRoy ~ Joyce E. Butler (Hemmer), age 81, of West Main Street, passed away peacefully Monday morning (Sept. 3, 2012) at Strong Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Butler was born April 27, 1931 in Wayland, NY, a daughter of the late Fred and Harriet Burke Hemmer. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a wonderful and caring person, who was loved by everyone that had the chance to know her. Mrs. Butler is survived by her two loving daughters, Debbie Macomber and Terry Butler, both of LeRoy, her sisters; Carole (Robert “Beulah”) Alianell of Bergen, Marilyn (Donald) Pursel of LeRoy and Jean (Ron) Pangrazio of LeRoy, her brothers; James (Mickey) Hemmer and Thomas (Joanne) Hemmer, both of Escondido, CA, 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Millard Butler and her beautiful 3 year old great-granddaughter, Azriel “Azzy” Butler. Family and friends are invited to her Memorial Service on Thursday at 5 P.M. at the Living Waters Church, 30 Main Street, LeRoy.
