Obituary of Robert W. May

Oakfield ~ Robert "Bob" W. May, age 72, of Mill Street passed away Saturday morning (October 15, 2016) at ECMC as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on October 7, 2016. He was born April 19, 1944 in Rochester, N.Y., a son of the late Stanley and Alfreda Rutkowski May. Bob was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Army and a long time employee of Olin & Arch Chemical. He was an avid horse racing fan and owned several harness race horses. He is survived by his sons, Robert (Ling) May of Taizhong, Taiwan and Jacob R. Case of Akron; his granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie May; his brother, Stanley J. May (Pam Brodsky) of Batavia; a nephew, Joseph May and a niece, Michelle (Donald) Conrad. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Batavia VA Medical Center, 222 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, N.Y. 14020. A memorial gathering will be held in January, 2017 at a specific date and place to be announced.
