Obituary of Willadeane McNish

LeRoy ~ Willadeane "Bunnie" McNish, age 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her home on Sunday, December 25, 2016, after a brief illness. Bunnie was born in DuBois, PA. She moved with her family to New York at age 12. She had many jobs throughout her life, but her favorite was being a Crossing Guard for the LeRoy Police Department for many years. Bunnie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to travel with her husband and spend time with her family. Prince Edward Island was one of her favorite places. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and will be missed by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents, Treela Kougher Alderton of Batavia and Clifford Alderton of Caledonia; her grandsons, Christopher R. Ridley and Shane J. Mart and her son-in-law, Robert Ridley. Bunnie is survived by her loving and devoted husband and best friend, Philip M. McNish; her brother, Robert C. Alderton of Batavia; her sister, Alice (Don) Gay of Rio Rancho, NM; her children, Susan Hume of LeRoy, Karen (Doug) Vagg of Pavilion, Mary Ridley of Geneseo, John (Judy) Hume of Mechanicsville, MD, Sharyll Hume of LeRoy and Deborah (Thaddeus) Mart of LeRoy; her grandchildren, Ami (Jon) Hume, Douglas (Jamie) Vagg Jr., Katrina (Jeremy) Flint, Samantha Vagg, Matthew Ridley, Nicole Ridley, Sean Hume, Thomas Hume, James Hume, Lane Arnold, Philip Mart and Cole Mart; her great-grandchildren, Nathan, Ally and Brock Douglas Flint and Benjamin, Connor and Oliver Knapp. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5 ~ 7 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy. Her Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake Street, LeRoy.
