LeRoy ~ Jennie A. Hale, age 97, formerly of Myrtle Street, passed away peacefully on Monday morning (December 26, 2016) at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home. She was born March 18, 1919 in LeRoy, a daughter of the late Angelo and Mary Traumuntana Steffenilla. Jennie will be remembered by her family as great cook and baker, as well as a hard worker in helping to support her family. She also enjoyed country music, playing bingo, going to the casino and playing cards, especially poker. She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Drury and Patricia Corcimiglia, both of LeRoy; her brothers, Charles Steffenilla and Thomas (Sharon) Steffenilla, both of LeRoy, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon Hale; her children, Anthony Vanelli, Donna Hale Rhodes and David Hale, her son-in-law, Lloyd Drury and 9 siblings. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 ~ 8 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (Rt. 19), LeRoy. Her Rite of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake St., LeRoy. Memorials are suggested to either St. Jude Children's Hospital or Wilmot Cancer Institute.
