LeRoy ~ Karen A. Deel, age 57, of Lake Street, passed away at home peacefully while sleeping on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. She was born February 15, 1959 in Corning, N.Y., daughter of the late Lawrence and Marian Sutton Wingate. Karen will be remembered as a very loving and compassionate person, who was not only devoted to her family, but also to helping all people. She dedicated her life and career to providing care to the residents of the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home for many years. She received many achievements, and rewards in doing so. She also had a love for nature, plants and camping with her family, and her dog Scooter. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Anita) Deel-DePasquale and Jennifer (Larry) Deel-White; grandsons, Brandon Wellman and Tyler White; sister, Loretta Wingate; brother, Clarence (Lynda) Wingate; companion, Richard Jones; nieces and nephews, Laurie Amico, Michael Amico, Suzanne Cognata, Stephen Amico, Chad Wingate and Abby Wingate, along with many great nieces and great nephews. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, Jan. 18 from 2 ~ 7 P.M. at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service, 8700 Lake Rd. (Rt. 19), LeRoy, where services will held on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Mumford Rural Cemetery will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either Lollypop Farm or your local humane society.
