LeRoy ~ Laszlo Szabo, age 63, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on April 15, 2017. Laszlo was the son of the late Vilmos and Maria (Jakab) Szabo. He is survived by his loving wife, Ilona (Helen); daughter, Csilla Szabo and her husband, Brian Baxter of Ballston Spa, NY; two brothers; Dezso Szabo and his wife, Ibolya of Budapest, Hungary and Vilmos Szabo and his wife, Ildiko of Szekely Udvarhely, Romania. Known as “Tata” to his grandsons, he was a generous and loving grandfather to Kelemen and Benjamin. Laszlo is predeceased by his beloved daughter, Erika. He was born on November 9, 1953, in Homorod SzentMarton, Romania, and moved to LeRoy with his wife and oldest daughter in 1985. He was a dedicated family man, whose greatest joy was making a big pot of porkolt or gulyas for his grandsons and helping them eat it. He was not only an amazingly talented woodworker, but was ready to help a friend with any project. Friends may call Friday, April 21, 2017 from 5 ~ 7 PM at the Falcone Family Funeral & Cremation Service Inc., 8700 Lake Road (RT 19), LeRoy, NY. A Service will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 1 East Main Street, LeRoy, NY. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in LeRoy, NY or to LeRoy Ambulance Service.
