Obituary of John T. Craig

LeRoy ~ John "Jack" T. Craig, age 89, formerly of West Main Street, passed away Wednesday morning (January 10, 2018) at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Home.
He was born October 26, 1928 in Buffalo, a son of the late Leo J. and Frances "Lottie" Crahan Craig.
He lived in N. Java 15 years, attending St. Nicholas grade school and graduated from Attica High School in 1946. He lived in Warsaw for 24 years and worked at the Brown-Ainsbrook Knitting Mill for 22 years before moving to LeRoy. Jack then worked at the Norym Company and Adirondack Mills for 17 years and then Weldco Optical Supply in Caledonia for 6 years prior to his retirement in 1994, for a total of 41 years out of 46 years, doing packing and shipping work.
He is survived by his dear friend, Marie Sakellariou of LeRoy and her sons, Dean and Michael and his cousin, Barbara Colbert of Ithaca.
Family and friends are invited to his Rite of Christian Burial on Monday, Jan. 15 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, 44 Lake St., LeRoy, followed by interment in St. Michael's Cemetery in Warsaw.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the form of masses to either Our Lady of Mercy Parish, St. Peter's Church, LeRoy or St. Michael's Church in Warsaw.
